Benefits of Alfalfa include:
- Helps ease morning sickness
- Can increase milk supply
- Powerhouse of fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K
- provides eight digestive enzymes
How do fat soluble vitamins promote healthy pregnancies, births and babies?
Vitamin A for mom helps in postpartum tissue repair, maintains normal night vision and strengthens immune function. For the baby, vitamin A assists in bone and eye development, promotes fetal organ development, helps in the formation of epithelial tissue
Vitamin K may decrease postpartum bleeding or chance of hemorrhaging
Vitamin D improves your chances for a vaginal delivery, improves your immune system
Vitamin E may reduce risk of developing Gestational Diabetes and strengthens maternal vein walls. While there are definite benefits to having adequate vitamin D levels, there is no need to overly supplement Vitamin E.
